stuck in lodi, again

From: Lisa Lazar (lazar.bauer@earthlink.net) | Date: 2007-03-01 02:15:40 UTC
Because I feel it is my civic duty to make my fellow letterboxers
laugh, I offer the following.

This has to be the best first sentence for a news article, ever:

"A jazz musician was injured Friday after jumping from a burning motor
home driven by a one-time roller skating stripper from Lodi."

Think I'm kidding?

"Coberly was still watching the commotion when a tow truck came to haul
the 24-foot motor home from the scene. It was driven by the same man
who had pulled the big rig from her garage six months earlier."

Including the info on the tow truck driver might be the best part? Or
maybe the realization by Coberly?
Only in Lodi! or not.

I like the fact that they mention that the driver of this wreck was a
former roller skating stripper, but only much later mention that this
person is a man. I like having my assumptions about roller skaters
challenged, from time to time!

It looks as if we escaped Lodi just in time - before the attack of the
burning motor homes!

GG,

ROFL!!

I don't know what's funnier, the scatting scat musician or the
professional disrober on wheels at the wheel.

You have to live near there to get how completely hysterical this is.
